Punch iron

To lace the rope or lace through the drum skin, you make holes in the hide. There are different ways to do this, but using a hole punch pliers or a punch iron gives the neatest result. These are two different ways of working. Using hole punch pliers requires more strength in your hands than punching holes with a punch iron and hammer. Not sure which method suits you best?
