Hairless drum skins (various animal species) are perfect for stretching your own shamanic drum. And not just a shamanic drum! The drum skins are also perfectly suited for djembés, bodhrans, tifas and timpani and any other drum with an animal skin stretched over it.

Our hairless drum skins (also known as rawhide or parchment) are prepared clean and smooth. The hair roots have been removed.

Hairless drum hides

Once stretched over a drum frame, hairless drum hides often produce a high, full sound with lots of overtones. At Sjamaan.nl you can also buy a hairless drum skin for djembés and timpani. For making or repairing a djembé we recommend hairless goat skins. For timpani the transparent goat skins are suitable. These hairless drum skins are thin and when stretched produce a beautiful timpani sound.

You can optionally paint the hairless shamanic drum yourself with acrylic paint or draw on it with a permanent marker.

We have hairless drum skins (various animal species) with diameters from 35 to 100 centimetres in stock, fitting drum frames of 25 to 90 centimetres. Allow at least 10 centimetres more than the frame to stretch the skin properly.
